    THIS CHECKS IF THE PHONE EVEN DETECTS A SIM CARD OR IF ITS UNLOCKED

    although this is not common, having an ID to refer to might save you time if the phone is stolen or banned..

IMEI's are not banned immediately, It can take weeks or months.

That is why we want the ID of the seller so incase the phone is reported stolen or missing, we can call the police and ask for help to find the seller.
